Pippin Orchards Grand Opening

After a decade of planning and development by the City of Watsonville, County of Santa Cruz, MidPen Housing, and the Housing Authority of Santa Cruz County, Pippin Orchards Apartments opened its doors in November 2018. Pippin Orchards is the first Housing Choices Partner Property in Santa Cruz County. It includes six affordable apartments subject to a preference for families and individuals with developmental disabilities. Within the first month of opening, all six units, plus two more from the general waitlist, were filled by people referred to Housing Choices by San Andreas Regional Center because they needed access to affordable housing coordinated with the services provided by the Regional Center.
MidPen Housing invites the community to join a Grand Opening Celebration at Pippin Orchards Apartments, 56 Atkinson Lane in Watsonville, on Friday April 5, 2019 between 11 AM and 1 PM for self-guided tours, the ceremonial ribbon cutting, and a light lunch reception. Click here to RSVP to the event.
